Astrid Jaekel

Gossip Wolf is delighted to be working with Astrid Jaekel. Coming from a Fine Art Background in Germany, Astrid has now become an illustrator, cutting up large bits of black paper which are then installed and illuminated in windows throughout the Edinburgh city centre. Her work involves traditional German folklore but also more contemporary themes as last seen in her window work on Victoria Street which was on display during the Festival.

Currently some of her work is shown in the Red Door Gallery windows; a series featuring some iconic Edinburgh residents who have come out to play for the month of Halloween.
